Cruzando is a Spanish word meaning crossing. For now, cruzando is just a word. But through the ministry of the Gathering the young church just might shape it into a theology that informs their culture, their own articulation of the theology of the cross.

The 2006 ELCA Youth gathering is in San Antonio, Texas this year from July 5th-9th. SOV Senior High youth will be attending and we will be updating this page with photos as they are sent from the gathering. So check back during the week of July 5th and see God's work in action!
What is the ELCA Youth Gathering?
What is this you ask? Well, every three years the ELCA plans a National Youth Gathering for youth in the 9th through 12th grade, which will take place this summer. For the last two years a group of youth and parents have been preparing to attend this gathering. Our biggest functions to date have been fund raisers. Although we have not held any fund raisers recently, many of you will remember our t-shirt sales, flamingo flocking, Easter baskets, garage sales, and the lists goes on. Thanks to all of your generous support, we have raised enough funds to attend this fabulous faith journey opportunity!
