Confirmation is in session from September through May and meet on Wednesdays three weeks every month. The first and third evening meetings are theme nights, and the second is a service and fellowship night. The fourth night we do not meet, but encourage parents to take their child out for a date.
A typical theme night schedule is as follows:
6:30-6:45 Games
6:45-7:00 Snacks
7:00-7:45 Theme Presentation
7:45-8:15 Small Group
8:15-8:30 Closing
Theme presentation is done as a large group with all three grades together. We start with songs and follow with a review of the material for the first time. September through December 2005 we are discussing the Old Testament. January through May we are discussing the Ten Commandments. Then we break into small groups to share highs and lows, to review and discuss what was said in the main theme presentation. We close with announcements, prayer and songs.
For a service/fellowship night, each small group does their own activity.
