BAZAAR Annual Event
Women of the ELCA at Shepherd of the Valley sponsor the annual church bazaar well known for its LEFSE and variety of Scandinavian baked goods. The fundraiser is held each year on the second Saturday in November and the congregation rallies to prepare Lefse prior to this event. The bazaar also features crafts, homemade breads, candy, pies and raffle prizes along with a collection of "gently used books" for sale. A hot lunch is served along with pie and coffee. Everyone from the congregation is encouraged to share their gifts of crafts, canned items and baking to make the bazaar a success!
The proceeds from the bazaar are used to support ministries within Shepherd of the Valley, local community missions/projects and global mission work.
Contact Cindi Michalski, Bazaar Chair for any questions.
Quilters' News
Quilter's meet every Wednesday at 9:00 am at the church to prepare quilts. Many hands are welcome to aid in this worthwhile project and no experience is necessary. Quilts are distributed through Lutheran World Relief providing warmth and comfort to those in need. We thank all those in our congregation and Thrivent Financial who bring materials and give money to buy materials, batting, etc. Quilts are delivered to Portland, OR to begin their worldwide journey.
Contact Carol Suring for any questions.
