Men's Ministry events

People develop relationship in various ways. One common characteristic of relationships that has been observed as it regards men, is that one way men develop relationships is through doing things with other men. With that in mind, this page will list upcoming activities for men; activities that any of the men at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church or friends and neighbors are welcome to attend and enjoy.

Regular Events:

Men's Wednesday Morning Discussion

The Men's Ministry holds a regular Wednesday morning group meeting at 6:30 AM at Moxie Java (Five Mile and Overland) to discuss the coming weeks Gospel text and to wrestle with its message today. The gathering last about an hour and everyone is welcome to attend.

Men's Bible Study / Prayer breakfast

On a monthly basis, usually the second or third Saturday of the month (see the Church calendar for specific dates), men gather at the Church fellowship hall at 9:00 AM. At this 90 minute gathering, the men share a continental breakfast; they read, discuss and ask questions of the coming Sunday's Gospel text and wrestle with the answers. In the final portion of their time together they pray for each other and the known prayer requests in our church and community. This event is open to everyone.
