Social and Hobby Groups
Pieced in the Valley — Quilting group that gets together the first Tuesday of every month at 7 pm to work on personal projects. Meets in the church narthex. A great time to also share new ideas or new techniques.

Scrapbookers — Group that typically meets at church once a monthat various times to scrapbook together, sharing ideas and utensils. Specific dates announced in the church calendar and Weekly newsletter.

Pinochle — Come enjoy this game with players of all levels, even beginners.

Study and Fellowship Groups
Couples Small Group — For all couples, using a variety of materials from Bible studies to topical studies. Meets first and third Sunday evenings at 6 pm in the church library. Nursery care provided (please notify ahead of time when nursery is needed so adequate staffing can be provided).

Empty Nesters — An open, sharing, caring, study and fellowship small group, designed for people who do not have children that need a babysitter. Bible-based studies followed by fellowship are held the first and third Sundays of the month.

Women's Weekday Bible Study — Meets every Thursday morning at 10:00 am in the church library. Does various biblical studies.

Men's Groups
Men's Bible Study/Prayer Breakfast — Held the second Saturday of each month at 9:00 am. The group participates in prayer and studies the Gospel text for the next day, led by Pastor Jim Grunow. Group members take turns preparing breakfast.

Men's Weekly Meeting — Meets each Wednesday morning, 6:15 am, at the Moxie Java and More on the NW corner of Five Mile and Overland. Discusses topics of interest for Christian men in the business world.

Fellowship and Discussion Groups
Primetimers — Social group that meets for lunch and discussion at 11:00 am on the third Friday of the month (subject to change, so call if interested). Occassionally have special programs or speakers. For our "seasoned" brothers and sisters.

International Potluck — Meets the second Sunday of each month at a home. Potluck of international foods brought by participants with discussion or presentation on social concerns after the meal.

Women's Groups
Anna Circle — Meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm. Uses the study from Lutheran Woman Today magazine. Bring your Bible.

LWR Quilters — Quilting group that makes quilts for Lutheran World Relief (LWR) which are sent to locations throughout the world each year. Meets every Wednesday at 9:00 am in the church narthex.

Naomi Circle — Studies the Gospel lessons for the month on the third Tuesday at 1:00 pm.

Ruth Circle — Meets on the fourth Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm. Studies various forms of literature having discussions from a Christian viewpoint.

Sisters — Meets on the first Monday of the month in the Church Library at 6:30 pm for fellowship. For any female who thinks of themselves as "younger" (married or single, kids or no kids).

Support Group
SPOT (Supporting Parents of Teenagers) — Meets monthly on Wednesday evening when Confirmation is in session. Programs are arranged with a variety of informed speakers from the community. The group has discussed bullying, communicating with teens, and much more.

Groups of Youth
TVLYFE (Treasure Valley Lutheran Youth Faith Explosion) — For Senior High youth (9th-12th grades) from Lutheran churches in the Treasure Valley. Meets monthly on a Sunday evening in various locations.

Senior High — For Senior High youth at Shepherd of the Valley. Generally meets Sunday evenings. Check newsletters for schedule of activities.

Confirmation — For 7th-9th grade students, this age group explores their faith, lives in fellowship, and serves others. Based on the Faith Inkubators model, Jr. High students meet in both large and small group settings on Wednesday evenings during the school year, with small groups led by adult and youth faith guides. Occasional retreats and other gatherings are part of this group as well.

Junior High — 7th-9th grade students meet periodically throughout the year for community service activities and for fun outings that promote social interaction/fellowship with their peer group.

J-Team — Otherwise known as the "Jesus" Team, this group is for 4th-6th graders. They generally meet monthly on Wednesdays for fellowship and/or service projects.
