Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church is moving forward in faith — gathering, empowering and sending persons into an ever-changing world as disciples of the living Christ.

Vision Statement

Shepherd of the Valley — Joyfully Embracing God's Journey

• Diverse worship experience will invite and welcome all persons into the praising of God.

• Small groups will increasingly become a way for new folks to enter into and participate more fully in the ministry of this congregation. They will also provide a way for present participants to deepen their connectedness to each other and the Lord.

• Christian nurturing for adults will get more attention, as we share our gifts and are equipped to live out our faith in God where we work and play in the world.

• The gifts of young people will be recognized, valued, nurtured, and offered here, at Shepherd of the Valley, in Christ's mission to the world.

• New ministries of caring for each other, within the congregation, will emerge to enable persons to experience the healing, liberating presence of Christ in their lives.

• Early childhood education in our midst will be strengthened and expanded as we seek to serve more young families in the area.

• The surrounding neighborhood and the greater global world will be subjects of our witness and services as we seek to listen for and respond to the voice of God. We will seek His voice in the lonely and forgotten ones, in the hurting and broken ones, in all who are hungering and thirsting for God's wholeness.
